Title: Looking for source for toggle switches
Post by: frank-id on July 16, 2007, 08:48:02 PM
I have searched and searched for some cole and hersee toggle switches with standard bat handles.  Local store wants $15 each for spst.  Import switches junk.  Long ago, Ebay was good source but cannot locate supplier.  I'm looking for basic designs of spst, dpdt, on  off  on, and monentary.  I need about 25 switches.
Thanks,   Frank    in Idaho

Frank-id,
You're on the right track.  Cole Hersee is the source, I'm pretty sure, for the handle extensions that fit on most of the Cole Hersee toggle switches.  I have some somewhere.  I'll call our local source tomorrow and see if I can get a source and part # for ya.

Frank,
Maybe I'm mistaken by what you mean by "bat handle", but if what you need is a standard toggle switch with a bigger, longer handle, Cole Hersee has the handle extensions.  They are part #81273.  They just slide on over the original toggle handle.  They are handy for finding a particular switch in the dark. Hope this helps!

Dennis,

Sometimes I slide a short piece of plastic tubing over a toggle handle when I want to extend it or make it easy to find in the dark. Different colors can be used for quicker recognition.
