Title: Neoplan question
Post by: Cary and Don on July 15, 2007, 12:50:46 AM
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knew of anybody parting out any Neoplans.  We are looking for the headlight assemblies that have three lights in them.  Neopart wasn't any help, at least with anything we can afford. I would like to find a single door too.

Thanks,  Cary

Since Neoplans were made here in Colorado (for awhile, anyways), I tend to see a lot of them sitting in storage yards in and around the Denver area. I've noticed three old highway Neoplans rotting away, covered in graffiti, that get hauled from one location to another... recently from east Bolder to downtown Longmont. They might belong to the local transit authority RTD that still drive a fleet of them on their suburban routes (along with MCIs). RTD would certainly be a good source of parts, if you can find the right folks to talk to. They occasionally auction off old coaches. A church a few blocks from me owns at least two, I think.

p.s. for "kicks 'n giggles" with Google Earth or Google Maps, you can see where the three graffiti buses used to be:  40° 1'29.31"N  105°14'48.62"W  The last place I saw them was here:  40° 9'38.10"N  105° 6'12.48"W  Here's the church with the Neoplans:  40°11'9.86"N  105° 7'48.60"W
