My turn signals work fine but the emergency flashers only flash about 4 or 5 times then stop with lights lit. Does the same flasher work both the turn signals and the emergency flashers? If so, I guess mine is up to turn signals but dies on emergency flashers. Should I buy the original 24V flasher or has anyone got a better part?
Thanks, TOM
Should be seperate flashers . I think!? I'd call JD over at C & J's and have him send ya a "heavy duty 24V unit" probably never have to fool with it again!
;D BK ;D
BK,
I thought so too but the only reference to flashers I can find in the manual is:
1- "turn light relay" part # 7C-5-15, which looks exactly like a relay and has 3 screw terminals
2- "turn light flasher" part # 7B-8-154, which I can't locate anywhere on the bus or in the manual, so I don't know what it looks like. ??? ???
When I turn the signal lights on I can only hear the "relay" clicking. ???
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
The MC-7 only uses one flasher and it is really borderline handling all the lights on emergency flash mode. If you have trailer or tow car lights added it will lock up. The best answer is a motorized flasher (not much more $ than a relay type) if you can get one in 24 volt.
I just did a search on "Trucklite" and they have a whole page of flashers. Several are suitable and available in 24 volt. Take a look at the solid state flashers on that page.

Stan,
Where is the flasher??!!! Under the dash? In the front junction box? Behind the rear axle?!!!! What does it look like? Thanks, TOM
It is in the front junction panel beside the driver, close to the front of the panel. I just posted more info into my previous post about flashers.
Thanks!
on mci 8 they have only one flasher and it is right at the front of the drivers left knee at the bottom of the dash. Mine was electronic and it went kaboom too. the replacement was 20.00
