Hi all,
It took about a month to get it done, but it tested out well. The voltage regulator and isolator was the hardest part.
I would like to thank my wife for her patience, George Myers, Dave Galey, and Bus Conversion Magazine for the wealth of info, and a special thanks to Dick Wright for his extra help(and the hundred phone calls).
Thanks as well to this board for all the answers I couldn't find elsewhere.
Devin
another one.
and another!
last one.
Great Job! Everything looks nice and clean.
Really neat looking installation. Congratulations.
Richard
After looking at your fantastic job, I just moved up on my list our genset job. Thanks for the inspiration! Thanks for posting the pictures, that helps us all a lot when designing our systems.

Looks great and also looks like it will be a quiet installation. The remote fan is always the noisiest if the wrong fan is used. I used a squirrel cage belt driven blower with a two speed motor. When on low, can't hardly hear it running. What electric fan did you use? Good Luck, TomC
Tom,
I used a direct drive squirrel cage 3/4 hp w/ 2-spd switch.
Devin
Hi Devin,
Awsome Job! You should be proud of your work...
Many happy adventures to you and Amy.
Nick-
Good going! Should be quiet for your neighbor along with being quiet in the bus. You don't know how bad it is to be dry camping next to a noisy generator until you have experienced it first hand. Happy Generating! Good Luck, TomC
Oh man, is that a beautiful layout. You really laid it out great and the location of everything makes a lot of sense.
Big time congrats! YAY for YOU!
Devin, very professional. I can tell you did your homework and took your time.
Thanks for the pics. They're going in my "ideas" file under "how to do an electrical install right".
Many happy (s)miles,
Brian B.
Very nice looking installation. I just have a question the cables on your house batteries. It looks like some of them could work on the framework.
Lee,
Do you mean chafe? I have actually remedied that. one of the positive cables was a bit close and I wrapped it in a heater hose for extra protection. The other cables look like they touch but are really about 2 inches away.
Devin
Devin,
Nice work!
I bet you stood back about 10' and said "Ahhhhhh, now that looks good!" ;D
Thanks for the pictures.
