PS: We will be in our Grand Cherokee, enroute down the BlueRidge Parkway to Tuggles Gap. We have found the Parkway much more enjoyable in the Cherokee, allowing quick trips down back roads running off the Parkway.

I would love to join you guys. I work an early 2nd shift, so if you do it Friday, I would have to leave the group around 13:00hrs. If you can do it on Saturday, I might be able to bring the bus. I live on the south side of Roanoke and can see the parkway from my house. Keep me posted on the plans. I will email you my number.

I have not heard from Dennis. We are staying near Mayodan, NC (about 30 minutes south of Martinsville). We plan to leave here around 9 AM and should be in Roanoke around 10:30 on Friday. I tried calling Dennis last night- no answer. I will try again tonight. I thought I would call you when we get to Rocky Mount. Do you know of any restaurants for breakfast/lunch near 220 & BlueRidge Parkway? We will not be coming back through Roanoke. We are going down the Parkway to the 171MM (south of Tuggles Gap) and taking back roads back to Woolwine and then to Stuart and back to Mayodan, NC.
Using our GPS, we are having a ball taking back roads (some are even gravel roads). We are doing this is in our toad, not the bus. Jack
HERE I AM!! Back from Virginia Beach and just in time to respond to your messages. THANKS GUYS! It's nice to be included. Don't know if I'm supposed to respond on this board or just send a personal message, but it was such a fun day for me, I just want to share our good time with the readers of the board. It was nice to meet such nice people as Jack and his lovely wife Paula, as well as spending time with Laryn and his family. At what point do you quit looking around to see if people are rolling their eyes when you get excited over talking about buses? (Not that I let that stop me). Thanks again Jack and Paula for sharing your day and your experience with us. Please stay in touch; I'll keep you posted regarding my search for a bus.
