I didn't vote cause I wasn't sure if you were asking if they helped start pissing contests, or helped stop them, or helped keep them from starting, or what.   ???

Besides, someone with bus envy tried starting something about my bus on this thread, and I was sure if I was supposed to be be pissed off or not! The smiley didn't seem to clue me in  :-\

I haven't seen the long dramatic peeing contest type post like on the old board, so I was wondering if the the smileycons had helped keep them from starting.  Not that I miss them but they were sometimes entertaining.  Many were too long for me to actually read.  Maybe they're stilll around and are gone before I see them.   Generally, in my own observation, the mood seems to be better on the new board and it is quite pleasant.  That is why I like this board.

As far as talking about your bus; the Wink ;) and the grin ;D meant we were just kidding.

We still love your bus :-* and you. :-*

I saw a TV commercial the other day for a pill you can take for that trickle problem... ::)
