we need a new fan hub for a 6-71 detroit in a 4104.

Oh, opps! I really don't know for sure then as I don't have a lot of experience with GM's. Might try JD @ C & J Bus repair up in the MN twin cities area. I think I remember seeing they stocked & rebuilt some hard to located GM parts as well as others. I'm sorry I don't have their # handy s I'm not home. But I know you can google it. FWIW BK ;D

Chris, a year ago I needed a new fan for my 8V71, part of the work being done before I picked up the "new" coach. The dealer got it from Dean's Coach in/near Durham, NC. I understand that they are still in business after the passing of Gary Dean - I'm sure someone here has the contact information. Another potential source is Jefferson Truck and Bus in Oklahoma City.

When mine started to creep off we were out on the road so I just drilled and pinned it with 3 screws spaced around the hub....when we got home I pulled it chucked it in the lathe checked balance and trueness and welded it solid re checked trueness and have ran it ever since...not a great trial but has went over 80,000 with no troubles..also went with modern fan and dampner..gg04
