Post by: captain ron on July 02, 2007, 07:53:54 PM
Does any body know a way to run 2 laptops off of one aircard at the same time? I tried an ethernet wire.

There are routers that you can stick the air card into and then run basically as many computers as you want off one connection.  I believe this violates the terms of Verizon's contract, but plenty of people do it.

Ron,
To network two computers without a router or a hub you need to have one of the twisted pairs of the Cat5 cable swapped.

If you have that, connect the computers and turn them on.

Go into Network places and see if each computer can see the other.

If not, you'll have to set them up as a home network or a peer to peer.

If they can see each other make sure you have the aircard set up with ICS, (internet connection sharing).

If you need help, call me and I can walk you through it.
