I plan on fabricating a PVC tube 'catch basin' for the slobber tubes (thanks for the pictures & description), but one concern I have is the actual location of the PVC tube.
Does the oil need to drain straight down into the PVC tube, or can I re-route the tubes & extend them over to one side of the engine compartment? Will the tubes still drain properly? I definately dont want to cause a p-trap type of blockage, etc.
Is the oil 'blown' down thru the tubes? Or is it just gravity?
thanks alot,
Mark

Anybody? :)
thanks

I beleive it is both. They seem to just drip with gravity at iddle and just after shut down. However when you think about it, there is air pressure in the air box created by the blower, so the goop is pushed out as well. You should ascertain from time to time that they are open, either by removing them, or I blow up them with an air hose. The air goes up one and down the other.
Coolbus, I just drained my PVC container today and it is working fine. I moved mine to a different place and it still works great. I don't think it works by gravity alone it blows into it. You can route the hose from one side of the engine to the other (that's what I did) and both will drain into the container.

Thats what I was looking (hoping) for. I didn't think there was enough room for the tubes to drain straight down into a fabricated container.
thanks
