Jim i am in Az right now and about 5.30 or 6.00 pm my awning will roll up do you think the heat makes the wind gauge spin just asking if you ever had that happen this been going on for 3 days and i plan on calling Zip Dee Tue but i am asking question before i call and make a a** of my self and you don't have to post the price for we know what they cost see you at Bus'n Usa
Hard to say. I've never let my lack of knowledge keep me from making an _ss of myself :o) With the price we paid, I'd have no hesitaion to call them to pick their brains about their product. and I have found them to be pretty helpful with all my questions.
Does it seem windy at that time of day? is the anemometer spinning fairly quickly?
The anemometer and controller is factory set to roll 'em up at wind speeds of 22 mph or higher. When installing, there is an adjustment that can be made for a higher or lower wind speed. They do not recommend setting to a higher speed. In addtion, no more than 2 awnings can be attached to the same anemometer. Evidenlty, it produces a small current that is only enough to run two controllers at a time.
To answer your question, I have not had it happen, but I do not generally leave the awnings open, and have not used the coach much since installation. I look forward to meeting you in Rickreal, although I won't be there until Friday noon.
