Will one of you give me an idea of the cost to have a leveling system installed on an MC9, using the air bags? Also, what are your opinions regarding the need for a system? Thanks!

Hi Dennis,
You can contact a couple of our members that have done this.
One is Jack Conrad.
Another is Pete Pappas [daytona pete] I think pete sells the systems.
Good Luck
Nick-
I install a complete airbag level kit from Pete and works great.

Thanks guys, I'll follow up with them when I get a chance.

Hi
Here's a peek at my new leveling system - G5 Campsite Air Bag Over-ride Leveling System
Dennis,
You are welcome to look at mine an see what the PO did. It is a simple DIY system.

Sorry Pete ... but I like your old system better, I bought one and am very happy with it (all electric switch and valves) way cleaner and nicer looking to mount in the cockpit. Don't see the need for pressure guages, when it level it's level who cares what the pressure is.

I made my own that involves one normally open solenoid and two normally closed solenoids for each leveling valve position-typically one in front and two in the rear. The normally open solenoid goes between the air bag and the automatic leveling valves. Then between the nomally open solenoid and the air bags T in the two normally closed solenoids-one for adding air ( I Teed into the air supply to the automatic air valves) and one for exhausting air. I have two switches per position-one for automatic or manual operation, and a on-off-on for adding or exhausting air from the bags-but no air pressure gauges. In a truck, the air pressure gauge can be beneficial since you can tell with experience how much weight is on the drivers and not get overloaded. But on the conversion, our weight is close to the same (within about 4,000lbs for fuel burn and water useage), so better to use ride height as a rule. Good Luck, TomC

Thanks for your kind words about my original G4 - leveling systems - they are still available
Here's what the G4 system looks like

Thanks guys! That's what I needed to know. Pete sent me his info. Gotta love this board!
