Title: MC9 Rear Junction Box Stud Numbering Scheme
Post by: gumpy on June 19, 2007, 06:50:54 AM
I built a toad converter for a fellow last week and sent directions to hook it up in the rear junction box of his MC9. He said he could't tell which stud was which any morel because his panel was too dirty/corroded and all the numbers were gone or unreadable. This is not unusual.

Since there's no diagram in the MCI manual which shows the numbering scheme of the rear junction box stud panel (there are for the front junction box and a/c box, but not the rear panel), I took a photo of mine, and added the numbers to the studs in the photo. I thought it might be useful to other MCI owners. This is an MC9. I can't be sure that other models are the same, but I believe the 8's are.

Great work & very nice of you to post a better view of Rear Box wire lug's numbers for MCI 9. I don't have my manual here in SC but believe is same for MCI-8. It show where the location of relay to lugs board.

FWIW....left click on photo to enlarge.....right click on photo & left click on "Save Picture As".....then choose whatever file or new fold to save in.

Thanks Craig

A bit off topic, but I assume no reason to use a toad converter like Craig builds if my lights are 12 volt?

I'll still need to use a modulite or similiar to use battery power instead of pulling power from the lighting circuits.  After I replaced all of my brake light bulbs I blew the 5 amp fuse multiple times.  I finally looked over the wiring diagrams and noticed they had a 10 amp fuse shown instead of the 5 amp printed on the electrical panel.  I upgraded to 10 amp and no more problems

Craig,

Nice job, I am sure others will find it helpful.

Now I need to do the same for my Eagle 01!
