Title: I Passed a cool looking Eagle on I-24 in KY on Thursday!
Post by: Busted Knuckle on June 15, 2007, 01:49:10 PM
Hey ya'll just thought I'd post a note about passing a sharp Eagle on I-24 headed toward Paducah, KY yesterday ! ( I had Flight # 722 flying at low altitude as I went by, but I did slow up a little to check it out and wave as we flew by!) It was white with a couple of aftermarket windows, had a satelite? dome on top, polished up nice. Oh yeah one of the most identifing things I noticed was the blue license plate w/yellow letters (not sure what state as I couldn't see it) that said "GHETTO"! I'll also have to make note the gray bearded fellow behind the wheel did try to keep up with me for a short distance, after I passed. But as usual #722 knew we were almost done with the trip and was booging on up the road to make the last 2 drop offs (1 in Calvert City & 1 in Paducah) so's we could go by and see the sign guy! (still not lettered as of yet! But it will finally have required name  & DOT markings monday afternoon!)
Anyone know who it was?
BK  ;D

Tom,
what area 1 hour south of Nashville?  The area we are looking at (Alabama/Tennessee border area west of Huntsville, AL & Fayetteville, TN) is about 1 hour south of Nashville.  Jack

First indicator that it wasn't me was that you passed me lol, also, sawdust would have been blowing out the back lol.

Ya'll must not know about my lead foot! I was bad with my 8V92 DDEC / 748 (4 spd) in the '89 S215. (ask Ross! LOL!) and now it's worse with the 60 series and b500 (6spd) in the S217!  and on that other note maybe you just didn't know about the others! LOL!
I really thought the license plate would've been a true identifier! FWIW BK  ;D

Oh yeah ask Paul about the travel times I give vs. normal driving times! LOL! And to quote a couple of songs I've always loved! "I was born to BOOGIE! & I can't DRIVE 55!" Sorry just my bad habit !

bk,
sorry i'm late getting back to this but you are correct.  i have a governor, or governess, that won't even let me get close to 80.  the questioning sound starts at about 60 depending on the state we're in or highway we're on, gets louder at 65 mph.  at 72, the whack on the back of my head usually knocks my sunglasses loose.  she knows i can't hear well in the bus due to some of the wind noise from the front door ;-).

i've got to admit, it has save my a?? more than a few times, though.

I can see I will have to get some taller gears if I ever expect to run with you guys. I can only get 78 MPH out of my coach as it is & I hate to be left behind!
