Title: oil pressure switch on an mci
Post by: christopher on June 07, 2007, 07:49:45 PM
anyone hook up a momentary bypass switch when starting an mci.? if so how did you hook it up? I think they work when the ground is interupted.
to start my bus after its warm i have to step on the pedal to get the engine to catch.
your thoughts
thanx

Assuming your interlocks - including the fuel pressure switch - are all working, then holding the start button in for a second or two after the engine fires will bypass the oil pressure switch until the pressure builds up.

For this to work, the fuel pressure switch needs to cut out the starter motor - otherwise holding the start button in will keep the starter energised.
