Everyone,
I just talked with Luke at US Coach and found out that his wife has just been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Luke has given so much to the bus community and now it is our turn to do our part for him. He and his wife need to be in our thoughts and prayers during this time of need. His wife's name is Roz Bonagura. We all know that behind every good man there is often an even better woman, I have no doubt that Roz is that for Luke. Let them know that we are there for them and we will do whatever is possible to support them.

Luke has given permission to pass this on, please do.
Does anyone have a postal address?
Sorry, I didn't think about getting an address. I am at work now. Can anyone post an address for Luke and Roz?

God, that's awful. Should we all pitch in for a spray of flowers for her... or something? Any ideas?
Luke is such a great guy and friend to busnuts and the community.
Thoughts and prayers,
Brian
Luke is a true friend to bus nuts, especially those of us who own and love older GM buses. On several visits to Berlin, he has never failed to make my friends and myself feel right at home among the collection of buses that are parked there. Our prayers certainly go out to the Bonagura family.
Luke,
At times like these there is not much that can be said.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
If there is anything the BusNut comunity can do for you let us know.
.
Luke,
We are so sorry to hear about Roz. We will keep ya'll in our prayers. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Jack & Paula
Luke,
It looks like everyone is doing what we have to do and for special people in particular that are welcome in our lives such as yourself and of coarse your better half Roz. We will all make special moments of thoughts and prayers for you and Roz which I am sure is what we all need to do to help you. Keep us all informed, give Roz copies of these wishes from all around the country and sure the world in time that should make each day very rewarding that we are all pulling for you both.
Let us all know on this board if there is absolutely anything more we can really do for you guys, all you have to do is ask.
Gary
Luke, as Gary, Jack and the rest of the guys here and the other boards have already said. It doesn't leave much room for anything different to be said by me here but please include me and Susan as well, as we both send our thoughts and prayers and offer of help if needed!
These same guys came thru and gave me a lift when I really needed it in the past and it really did help!
Here's to you and Roz!

Luke, you know we're with you both in your times of challenges. Of course we don't know anything more about the condition, but my closest relative has had an inoperable brain tumor for five years and keeps appreciating life. I hope your wife's condition allows her to do the same.
All the best,
Chuck
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you, Roz and the rest of the family too Luke.
Like many others have said, if there is anything Cat and I can do to help, you know the offer is open and waiting.
I wish I knew the words to say, but I'm not good at things like that. To me they sound wrong and insincere, but this time I want you to know that you will be in our hearts and on our minds.
There is a pretty good group here in the bus community and even when we have our little squabbles, we are all willing to pull together to help. Just let us know what is needed.

Luke:
My thoughts and prayer's are with you. As a country song says tell her to LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYING. That means don't give up or let it get you guys down. My wife did that for over seven years and even jumped out of a perfectly good airplane.

The stuff can't hurt you (too much anyway) if it's in the right form for consumption (whatever that means), and it's availiable from any chemical supply house. Evidently it's a small enough molecule that it sneaks thru the blood-brain barrier and reprograms solid tumor cancer cells to the point that they die out on their own.
But you're on your own with it as it's too new ( and no profit potential ) for anyone to work with humans on it so far... and the official website (links below) says "absolutely not" to trying the stuff on your own, as it may be too acidic, wrong chemistry, etc to be consumed by humans as it comes from a lab supply house.
That said,
From any Aldrich chemical supply house or distributor: Dichloroacetic acid, commonly available for $25 per 250 grams or so. Check Wikipedia for some additional related info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dichloroacetic_acid
At least you can get the stuff from here in my neck of the woods:
http://www.clarksonlab.com/ stock number DC-0015-D
The price list that mentions it is here: http://www.clarksonlab.com/pl.pdf
From researching the web, it looks like the doseage may be something like 25 mg per KG of body weight per day, added to water and drunk. Since there's little data on it, I'd think dividing it up over the day would perhaps be a good thing...BUT it's PH may need to be adjusted etc first, to make it safe to consume. I'd consult a chemist or someone who knows about this kind of stuff before gobbling any on my own.

'twere it me, I think I'd be checking it out very quickly. Nothing to loose... Hope it's not a false alarm...
Best of all to you and your wife Luke...
Kind regards

Luke:
You and Roz are in our thoughts and prayers. Diane, the boys, and I are pulling for you.

Prayers sent.
God Bless
Luke I don't know what Roz's condition is at this time but if you have a bus that is converted now would be a good time to forget about work and helping us busnuts and spend some quality time with Roz. You have a very capable crew to watch over your business and nothing is more important than the people you love specially you life companion. Travel, visit, live life as it is very uncertain. Best wishes to you both. Not much of a down on my knees praying guy but I will mention you and Roz in my efforts to talk to the man occasionally.
Lets keep showing Luke and Roz how many friends they both have.
Luke, we won't let you indure this alone if I can help it....
Nick-
Luke & Roz,
Our prayers are with both of you during this trying time. There are lots of us here waiting to help when you point the way.
God Bless ;D ;D
Connel
Luke,
Please know that we are all thinking of you both during this trying time. I think I speak for many of us when I say I feel helpless, but please let us know if there is ANYTHING we can do to help. We'll be thinking of you, my friend!

You are in our thoughts and prayers....

Luke, You're in our prayers too.
I just called Luke to purchase a new shutoff cylinder for my 4104 and he wouldn't sell me one! He said all it needed was an o-ring and to run down to the autoparts and get one. This has to be the third time he has helped me thru a problem without trying to sell me any parts I don't need. Try and find that anywhere else. That's why you have my business on all the parts you will sell me!
Hang in there Luke, the Lord is faithful.
I second what captian ron says, spend some time with that girl of yours.
