Title: Can't belive my review was posted!!!!!
Post by: jjrbus on June 03, 2007, 10:32:43 AM
When doing my interior cabinates I saw the latches that Jack Conrad used. Pricey but they really are ideal for anything that moves!! These are expensive $16.99 each!
The knobs are plastic, the brass starts coming off after some use and now after about 5 years of use the threads are starting to strip. I've looked for replacement knobs to no avail. So I decded to post a review, I cannot belive they posted it on there website!!!!
These latches are manufactured with solid brass knobs. If you are looking for something like this, look further than Rockler. Or if you know where to get replacment knobs let me know.

Jim, take one to a local machine shop, ask them for a price to make them.
I have a friend that makes his own billet parts for his streetrod, he's a machinist.
Hope it might help. Good luck.

If you're looking for this hardware ... go to Hafele:

Here's a link to the Pdf specifically for these type of locking knobs.
http://www.hafele.com/us/external/catalog/Locks/661-676.pdf

(see Pages # 5 & 6).  Page 6 has the bradd metal versions.

If anyone ever needed anything from Hafele ... we do have an account and we could help you out.
Even better if we were to get a larger order going, then free freight.  I should also be able to easily send portions of order here and there.
