It's been a long road, but it's painted. Will have to do a little touch up, here and there. But, it looks great from 20 feet away and I did it all myself. My first time painting anything.
Trying to post before and after photos.

Looks purty good from what I see! BK ;D
Bill,
Congrats! Nice color :) and lines. Now if you can figure out how to keep the
bugs, dirt and sunlight off, the paint job should last forever ;)

NO, ,,,,, the dark blue is the OLD color. I never did like the stripes....
Thinking about putting a big wave on the side. Only a thought, presently.....
Bill
Boomdocking at Lake Pleasant, Az. for the night.
My Bad, but I still liked the stripes! But hey the new paint looks good too! BK ;D
BK,
Not sure which way I will go, but I know I will break up all the blue with graphs of some kind.
The present thoughts are a huge wave breaking, perhaps a Pirate ship also.
Of course this line of thinking changes every couple of weeks.
Open for suggestions.
Bill
"a huge wave breaking, perhaps a Pirate ship also"
That'd be cool! BK ;D
Oops! I was confused. Though to be honest both Blues are nice. Ok so I like Blue.
You could do sweeping lines like mine with a curl at the end for waves. Maybe
a little modernistic for your tastes. The graphics would be fairly easy to have made
and installed.
Just a thought I am sure you will be stylen in no time.

I know some don't like graphics such as lines, zig zags, and so on, but have you thought about an ocean scene with a suffer on a wave with dolphins jumping, and a great white shark ripping a suffers leg off, and swimming away with it in his mouth. Oh and don't forget the killer whale eating a seal. Or you could go with just plain old solid blue. What ever you decide works for me LOL.

Along that vain. There is a bus in the Tacoma/Seattle area that an artist used the bus for ocean
murals of fish waves etc. One of the murals was of a mermaid that they basically had to keep covered
up for the male drivers would almost wreck mesmerized. As told to me by DandaBusman. I saw the bus
when I picked up mine and the Artist was/is very good!
Moral (darn) maybe could be: "Too great of artistic beauty is too distracting to view while driving! "

Hello Bill,
Glad to see you DID IT! I'm sure you change other ideas you have many times before you add to your paint job.
I'm in Vancourver WA. for two weeks, new job and training. Might see you in Phoenix if I make it that way before you leave.

OK I was going to surprise everyone at Arcadia this year with my new paint graphics but since they are not done yet and hopefully if everything goes as planned they will be before then, Here is what I have planned!
Since my bus is already goldish, I will be doing something similar to this one only instead of black, I will be using a copperish/brownish color AND I am checking on maybe updating the front end with newer lights as well!
Gee I hope I win the lottery soon and I hope Susan doesn't get mad when I change the bus! ::) Oh well, it's all good!

Paul,
I should be in Phoenix until mid July. Then I hope to go to Gulfport, Miss. but that is uncertain.
Bill
Bill,
Either way, stop by on your way through.

Are your stripes painted on or vinyl? I know a sign shop that would probably make stripes for me cheap, but not sure how long they would last.
Brian,
The stripes are vinyl and they are holding up better than the paint job.

Bill- great looking paint job!! I can't tell you enough how tired I am at seeing the "full body" paint jobs some completely unartistic painter is putting on the motorhomes with all the swirling lines that doesn't do a thing for the lines of the bus. Yours is much better thought out. Keep going-you're getting closer! Good Luck, TomC
Thanks Tom,
Going to have to respray it in a couple of weeks. I'm still learning.
Bill
Bill,
I need to paint mine. How did you do yours?
Laryn
First of all, get help,,,, doesn't matter how much beer it cost you. If you must, hire a couple kids to help, (don't give them beer, that could cause you a problem). Your need a good size compressor. I bought a cheap gun. Now get someone to show you how to set all this up. I've had a hugh learning curve, that was expensive in the way of paint.
Bill
Now that you have all the toys, and experiance.....when I get my bus I will bring it by. I have lots of homebrew beer.............after the job is done! Of course ;D
Looks great!
I can't find a painter that's worth a darn ..... till he has some beer in him
