Title: 4106 Preload clutch adjustment
Post by: mfbraccio on June 01, 2007, 12:35:45 PM
I have a 4106 GM with a 4 speed with a stock transmission, the clutch was replace by previous owner.  I am having trouble finding anyone with information on adjusting the preload on the pressure plate.  I have plenty of meat on my discs but can't seem to get the clutch right and looking for any suggestions or help.  I can't be the only person to have this problem.  The pressure plate has 6 adjustments for the forks that come in contact with the throwout bearing.  Can anyone help?

I had a 4106 25 years ago and I kept clutch adjusted with about 1 inch free play in pedal and it would catch about 2 inches from floor.
