Does anyone have any CAD drawings of their bus layouts/systems? I would like to study how folks have laid out their different systems. I know some of you guys are tech savvy since I have seen a few CAD drawings here and there. MasterCam X is what I am using but can use dxf or dwg files as well.
Check out Sean's drawings at http://ourodyssey.blogspot.com/

Thanks! Thats what I am looking for. It is nice to have the drawings to look at versus just an image. I am beginning to come up with an overall plan and I want to get some good ideas that fit my needs.
When I layout out my floor I kept coming back to the location of the toilet so it would dump directly in to the tank ... It all about the toilet ... something to keep it mind. The dashed lines in the floor plan are the bay dividers below the floor.

I just sent some files to your gmail account also.

With a Fishbowl, you've got some other considerations to deal with, compared to a highway coach.
First, of course, are the larger wheel wells inside. This isn't too much of a problem up front, but in the rear, it can get complex very quickly.
Next is the shallow area under the coach for your basement systems. Ron's comments about placing the toilet directly over the black tank should be taken very seriously.
The idea of utilizing CAD is commendable, but cardboard box mock-ups and painter's tape work, too! ;D
FWIW & HTH. . .

Nothing beats a good set of drawings. All bus systems can be drawn in layers which can be overlaid or hidden as necessary. To me this is the best feature of the drawings, the ability to show the locations of things under the bus such as tanks, lines, cross members and such. Then with just one click it can be hidden or shown as necessary. They are also easy to duplicate and edit, so when you ruin a set you're just one click away from a fresh copy! Mainly it is just the way I do things. I generate a lot of part drawings at work and have just incorporated it into most other projects that I start.
I am aware of the differences between the two buses. I wanted to see the different layouts to look at the designs from different perspectives. As far as the carboard templates and such they are the best way to generate profiles that fit when fabricating parts for the bus, especially around the ceiling and wheel wells.
