I started losing power in my Eagle 10 6v92 turbo today on the way to visit the grandchildren. I changed the fuel filters and all seems fine now. The question I have is about the turbo boost as it goes up to eleven on the gauge at about 70 mph. I can not remember if it went to 12-15 before. How high does others go? Thanks. I am buying an extra set of fuel filters and I was lucky to fine a NAPA store today.
It will depend on the amount of "load" you are putting on the engine, like climbing a hill,etc.

Speaking of Turbo Boost, where do you install the sender for the boost gauge. I have a 102A3 with a 8v92 setting in my yard that the owner wants a boost gauge installed on. Jack
Jack, on the housing on top of the blower there is a plug for the manual gauge i have never seen one with a sending unit but i am around the old stuff
Jack i looked at an extra housing i have and there are 2 plugs a 1/4 in and a 3/4 in maybe the 3/4 is for a sending unit
I installed mine on my 6v92 at a 1/4" NPt fitting on top of the blower housing and ran 1/4" copper tubing all the way to the dash to the back of the gauge. I get 18psi on the gauge at 75mph on a flat. It dropped to 16psi on my gauge on a trip last week and I changed the fuel filters and it returned to 18psi again. I had about 25k miles on the old filters and they were last changed in 2003.
That 2psi drop gave me a loss of about 7mph. It made a significant difference.

Turbo boost is not dependant on speed, it is a function of throttle opening.More fuel creates more heat, which expands the exhaust gases to force them through the turbo at greater speed, causing the impellers to turn faster, thus createing more boost. For instance if you are going up a slight incline at 70 mph with your foot to the floor, it will produce max boost. Coasting down a hill at 70, it will show no boost.Running on the flats at 70 against a headwind you could see 10-15# on the gauge. running with a tail wind at the same speed could drop it to 5#. My 350hp MUI 6V-92 will put out 20# whenever it has 100% throttle. At 70 on the flat it produces 10#, give or take a few depending on conditions. Donn
