I need about 100 or so more 3/16" shavehead rivets. Anybody have any extras left over that they want to part with?
Otherwise, who's got the best deal on small quantities. I bought my others from Byler, but they're extremely high priced on small quantities. Is FSI better? Or, any other sources?
Craig - did you find the rivets? Or a source?
Anybody else have a thought for Craig on these?
Best Regards, Phil
Craig,
Is the minimum order from Byler still 1000 for the price break?
I might be interested in a 1/3 of that if we can find some others!
Cliff
Hi Craig,
I have bought rivets from both places and found that FSI is cheaper. However, they have a $25 minimum order so that isn't going to help in your situation. I only needed a pound of 3/16" buck rivets @ $6 per pound, but I also needed two rivet sets so I more than met the minimum. You might try www.nicholsindustries.com (614) 866-8451 to see if they have a minimum. Their prices are also better than Bylers. Or, you could try a local semi-trailer repair place. I bought a few 1/4" rivets that I needed at our local trailer repair shop. But I don't know if they use shaveheads. Good luck with your search, Sam.
Airstream dealers who do body repair use them by the truckload but may not have the size and length you need.
International Bus & Parts in Apopka, FL sells them in small lots, but I am not sure of their price or minimum order requirements. 800-468-5287 Jack
Thanks all. I'll have to get on the phone and do some searching. It's not super critical. I was just hoping someone overbought and had some extras they didn't need.

Craig,
I wish I did have some, but instead I have nearly 30 pounds of stainless poprivets. 3/16 X everything from 1/4" all the way up to 3/4" depth. :-[
They don't do me a lot of good on my GMC but being the packrat I am, I just knew I'd need them for something.... that was 2 years ago and I think I've used maybe a pound of them on different coaches in that time. ;)
Maybe I can trade them off for something useful, like a weaver pin or a muffler bearing..... or the left hind teat of a boar hog. ;D
Dallas
PS: I figure they wouldn't work on an Eagle either.... there wouldn't be anything to hold them up! ;D ;) :)
GO BUSING!
Dallas,
I might be able to use some of the stainless rivets. Do you have, or can you take a photo of the profile of them and send it to my email. I'm looking for something that will look nice in the MCI stainless. I have a few holes I need to fill, and need to replace a front corner panel still after hitting the two deer at Christmas.
Craig, try Arden Specialty Products St. Croix Falls, WI
Ask for Rod Bell. They sell rivets in any amount. 715-483-5030
Otherwise I have 200+ 1/4 shaved rivets left.

i have 100 to spair thanks jim
Dallas, I would be interested in buying some if you want. Let me know. Thanks Tom Y
Here are a couple of pictures of the rivets I have.
I was wrong though, they are 1/4" rivets, not 3/16"
They are mostly 7/16", 1/2" and 5/8" with some longer (up to 3/4") and some shorter (about 3/8").
The heads are 1/2" across.
Let me know what you want and how many, I think I have about 4000 altogether.
Tom,
I'd rather do trading than selling, Whatcha Got?
I'll have to see if I can use 1/4". I think the panel holes are 3/16. Will get back to you.
