Post by: James77MCI8 on May 16, 2007, 03:34:17 AM
Hi guys,

THe regulator for the tensioner on the cooling fans on my bus is leaking. Do you all know where to find a replacement and or repair kit for this device?

Take your regulator to your local heavy truck parts place & show them your needs.....usually diaphragm is leaking & common size fit most units.

Perhaps nowadays it only available in exchange format. No repair kit???

PS....Caution do not use Teflon tape on threads but use pipe dope paste with Teflon or without so you won't over tighten into die-cast housing. Reason for not to use tape is small pieces get into valve-ling to cause leakage...very common problem.

FWIW
