Morning all,
Wondering if anyone has an idea of where a guy would find a comprehensive guide re this subject? We are taking the kids down to Mex in October for two months and need some solid info on things like where to buy diesel along the coast (MEX15) and inland, camping, repairs etc..
Last time I drove down was in a little Mazda three years ago. A slight change up now to a 35' class A.
Thanks in advance for the help.

The best book I've seen is Mike and Terry Church's book, Traveler's Guide to Mexican camping. Reading their book took my confidence level from -3 up to about 80%. We have driven the bus south for the last 3 years. This year we put on 6403 miles. The pucker factor is still quite high but their book will tell you what you need to know about where you can stay in your bus and you can get fuel almost anywhere. OH what fun.
Good Luck
Jerry
As Jerry said Church's book is a must. Pemex fuel stations are everywhere and your 2 stroke will love all that sulfur in the fuel down there. Get your drivers side mirror tucked in as close as you can to the bus .... the roads are a bit narrow with no shoulders ... takes a bit to get use-to
Thanks for the info gents...
I agree with the assesment of the roads. In particular BTW Nogales and Hermosillo. I was puckered to a factor of 3 driving my Mazda down and getting passed by doble remoulque's (B-trains) with 16 year old kids driving.
Gonna grab the book.

P.S. This is a great website I found during my research. http://www.ontheroadin.com
We've been south of the Rio Grande many times with our previous RV, a 31' fifth wheel. Next winter we will be down as far as Guadalahara with the bus. Church's book is a must for a newbie. The roads on the Pacific coast aren't as bad as some make out. Don't plan on making any 500 mile days. 500 km is a big day in Mexico - a REALLY big day. Fuel is absolutely not a problem, ever. Campgrounds can come and go pretty quickly down there so make sure you check the Church's web updates before you leave. They update their books regularly and post internet updates between editions. Must see places IMHO - Alamos, Sonora; Guasave & Las Glorias, Sinaloa; Teacapan, Sinaloa; San Blas, Nayarit; Barra de Navidad, Jalisco; Morelia, Michoacan and San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
