Actually located in Winter Garden(edit: changed from winter haven). I need someone to check and see if we should even bother considering these. It is a pair of 215's with series 60's and 748 transmissions. Someone who is familiar with the 4 stroke detroits would be great. Please let me know how much you would want for your time. Call me at 612-987-6021 cel or email your phone number to phastings@frontiernet.net
Thanks in advance for your help.

Winter Garden, Hwy 50 west of Orlando I think is the correct location.
They were listed as not roadworthy. Need a lot of work to be able to actually drive.
Yes, Winter Garden is correct. As far as condition their goes that might be okay, but I need someone to take a look to make sure. ;)

Dave we are aware that they are listed as not running and need work to be able to drive! But that is why Paul is asking if we have any members who are in that area, or know of someone in that area who could take a look at them to see if it is worth my time to make a trip to FL to see if we'd be interested in fixing them up! The question is how much work to make them to where they could be driven! According to the man selling them
"I was told one of them only has the computer missing"! That is a word for word quote, but over the phone it's hard to varify what he was told!
So is there anyone who can possibly assist us with any information we don't already know?
Thanks BK ;D
If you can't find someone in the next day or so, I could make a run down there to look at the coaches for you.
It's a day long round trip but if needed I will try to do it for you. And take pictures if needed.
I will need the location and contact info.
Dave...
I live in Winter Haven and have seen those buses. One of them is wrecked in the front pretty badly, in fact, the windshield is out and it is not covered at all. It's been like that for a few years. It of course could be fixed if you know how or are willing to pay to have it done, but that whole front cap needs replacement. The other one just came in. It doesn't appear to be wrecked. I could take pictures for you and email them if you like, just let me know. They also have several MCIs and one Eagle, but the Eagle is pretty shot.
Ok, Now I am confused..
Are they in Winter Haven or Winter Garden ( that's a 75+ mile difference )
I knew there were some in Winter Garden a while back but didn't know about any further south.
Dave....
They are in the lot right across the street from Setra's FL Service Center (which is in Winter Haven at least that's what I thought the area was called! It's just down the HWY from ABC). I wasn't aware that 1 had been wrecked, we were told that 1 needed a computer, and 1 needed some body parts (luggage bay doors + etc.). But that it wouldn't take much to get them into shape! BK ;D
If I'm not mistaken it's Winter GARDEN - HTH
Opps my bad! I just know it's on the north west side of Orlando! BK ;D
It is Winter Garden. From the pictures I have, both shells appear to be in decent shape, IE no missing windshields or missing caps. If someone near is willing to go, I will compensate you for your time. phastings@frontiernet.net or cel 612-987-6021
OK YOU SAID WINTER HAVEN AND IT HAPPENS THAT THERE IS TWO SETRAS HERE IN WINTER HAVEN MY BAD. :)

Really?
Hey, no need to apologize they could be something we'd be interested in too!
Is there any way you could get us some info/pics?
Paul is still looking for a starter shell, and well I run Setra's in our charter service and I'm always looking for parts/fixer uppers.
Thanks BK ;D
The Winter Garden vs. Winter Haven miscommunication is my fault.
Wanting a shell with a four stroke to convert $*****.** Inspection, travel and related expenses $????.?? Not knowing that each location had a pair of Setra's.....priceless
Paul
You may want to contact Lynn Silver at mid Florida transit in Lakeland. Not sure of company name but that is close. They have been running charter buses for years until cost of insurance drove them to other things. Have a good shop and VERY knownledable.
