Title: Replacing Stop/Turn/Tail lights
Post by: chargePlus on May 06, 2007, 12:36:18 PM
Hey Folks,

I'm looking to replace the existing lights with LED lights, and while I'm at it, I'd like to replace the existing fixtures with something I like better. Hopefully I won't have to enlarge the existing holes... If I can find an original unaltered 4103 upper engine bay door, I'd start from there...

I like the tail light assembly on the MCI MC8s and MC9s, and the lights on a 4107 or 4108 if turned 90 degrees.

Any other suggestions, pointers, links, etc.

Thanks,

- John

I replaced all my signal lights front and back to LED. Love it! Took several months to find just the right size and set up. All are original 24 volts and should last forever.  You can see from my id photo that the front turn signal lights are led and bright as all get out. A friend of mine said the other night that you could see my brake LED 7 inches from a mile away!

Check the archives for LED. I think that I may have provided a link to my vendor who was priced right and easy to work with.

Good luck!
