Sam Caylor sells MCI parts. ::)
And Sam has stated in the past that he does not have any Eagle or GMC parts.
You Might try Jefferson Bus repair in Oklahoma City,OK.1-800-813-9367 as for Ed or Mr Norris.
They have the corner on Eagle parts. :o

Yes you are correct the MC-5s have the same drop box as a Eagle.
A old Eagle bus mechanic many years ago made mention that some of the ready mix concrete trucks also have the same drop box as the MC-5 and Eagle what make of truck I do not know.
Sam just might have some MC-5's parts still for sale.
The last time I talked to Sam he stated that he only buys the later model MCI equipment now.
He won't even buy the MC-9's now as they are to old.

Junction Road Recycling, Inc
5220 Junction Rd
Lockport NY 14094             716 439 4278

This is scrap metal dealer, so I do not know how or if they will take off and ship parts. I went there and took what I wanted.

Buying used is risky since you do not know the condition and the gears in the box are very expensive. There a three gears in the box and one gear alone cost $800. The cost of a rebuild is almost the cost of a new box. I bought new as opposed to rebuilt since the cost was close and there was not a core charge. If I had bought rebuilt and my core was bad I would have had to forfiet my core charge and the cost would have been much more than new.
