Hi Jimo,

Depending how outfitted you are with welding equipment. Spoolgun, tig, etc.  You can easily construct a platform out of box aluminum

It would be very light and easy to cut and most of all, endless possibilities....  railings and a entry system can be made removable.

Look in the MAK home page, in the classifides, you will find a Newell bus for sale. It has a aluminum race deck on top. If I can find the pics of it, I will post them.

I don't know if you have seen this-but go to the Airstream site and look at their 40ft'r that has a roof top party deck built into it.  It has a stairway inside to the top with a roof hatch (that does take floor space), then you fold up the railings, put up the umbrellas, fire up the built in gas BBQ, and pull a cold one out of the small reefer also there (I think it also has a small sink).  There are long lounges and a transverse sun lounge on the back.  Most cleaver setup I've seen to date on a roof top view platform.  Good Luck, TomC
