Title: mci 8 door window
Post by: 4shore on May 02, 2007, 05:34:57 AM
I need to replace the window in the door of our 78 mci 8, I was wondering if anyone has done this and how difficult was it. Does the peninsula replacement window fit well?

We replaced our door window with a Peninsula window.  Installation was very easy and a perfect fit. Applied a layer of the butyl rubber caulk included with the window, set the window in place, and installed the inside trim pieces. We like have a window that can be opened for ventilation.  Jack

Mine WASN'T a perfect fit. Problem was only cosmetic tho. On the outside front bottom corner there was a gap. Called the factory and was advised to fill gap with cut-to-fit piece of wood. BUT, just layed a piece of black air hose in there and it looks good.
The way I did it.

After reading Dale's post, I remembered, We had the same thing. I made a piece of aluminum to fill the void on our window. I had forgotten about this. Jack
