I am fairly new to this, so I need help. Where can I purchase the rubber hinges for the compartment doors? Are there some other type replacements other than rubber? In repair manual , does not look like a major repair. thanks for your help.
Rubber bin door hinges.
Read the maintenance manual very careful .The arms that hold the door open will hurt you if not treated right so be very careful when releasing them.(These Arms are spring loaded to the mad position)
A 24" Cresent wrench can be used instead of of the tool that GMC shows how to make.
The rubber bin door hinge material can be bought from Luke at US Coach.
Take your time and be careful doing the work.A helper to help you is very handy.
Stainless Steel Piano hinges are out there some folks on this board sells them.

Hey Big John. I bought 4 of the stainless hinge replacements from the guy who makes them and have decided to stick with the rubber stuff 'cause it's so easy to replace in my MC5. They're only about 5.5" long
but they're sturdy as the devil. Check the Spare Tire...I'll list them there.
