Wasn't today the auction at the Campground where Dallas was at? Old Man Sax still in the game for buying it?
Tom and Dallas examined the campground in the daylight and found it wasn't worth anything. The owner had done so much damage to it that there was virtually no campground left. Tom went on and left on Wednesday. Niles came up and attended the auction and said it went way, way too high. Cat

How are you guys doin?
Hiya Jon.
Yeah, we were a little saddened to see the CG go, but, we were even sadder to see how the owner had torn up the trees and landscape around it and the lake.
It ended up being no more than a parking lot with some electric and water.
Cat and I are staying at little PeeDee State park for a while and looking for a permanent place to park the bus.
Dallas
Why did the owner destroy the place just before trying to auction it?
One would assume a nice property with trees and such would sell for more than land all torn up.

Update :
Tract 1 - sold for $35,000 per acre
Tract 2 - sold for $27,500 per acre

Around here, logging every tree is standard protocol. Even when residential property is involved. You never know when a red cockaded woodpecker or some special sunflower will interfere with your land.
Plus, the wood has a good bit of value, and cleaned up land brings more bucks.
Woodpeckers and clams are holding up a Monroe, NC bypass. No trees, no problems. Blame the environmentalists for denuding Dallas' campground.
Dallas, where's the Pee Dee campground?
Cheers, JR
Hey JR!
Little PeeDee State Park is about 10 miles east of Dillon on Hwy 9 or Hwy 57.
On Hwy 9 turn right or on HWY 57 turn left. On Hwy 57 if you get to Fork, SC you've gone 4 miles too far.
