Title: TV Antenna
Post by: Kwajdiver on April 08, 2007, 03:12:00 PM
I have a Roadstar Antenna TV antenna mounted on my roof.  It doesn't seem to do anything but look cool.
Hooked up a cheap pair of rabbit ears, seems to work better than the Roadstar.

Do I replace the Roadstar, with another Roadstar, or go with something else.

What works????

Thanks for the input.

Check your booster.RoadStar is a good antenna if Booster works and connections are good.

Check the AMP/ Power Injector for the antenna. It should have a small plug-in 12 volt power cord with a transformer or hookup for 12 volts to the coach. I had 2 go bad in a row and one lost a transformer too.

FYI: Not that it matters,

All standard TV stations will no longer be transmitting on the regular airwaves as of 2009, All analog TV's will need a digital HDTV reciever to pick up the new digital broadcasts.
No more 2-13 and UHF stations. All digital on a different band and the old antennas probably won't work anyway.
Before you spend a lot of time and energy, Ask yourself if it's time to upgrade the antenna and tv's....

The other option is Satellite. A Lot of us already have gone that way and for the time being the older TV's will be supported
via the satellite tv receiver directly.

Ya gotta love the Goobernment mentality..........

Don't worry about your antenna with the HDTV channels, it will still work.

Your local stations will be broadcasting multiple channels in the same  6MHz bandwidth, but on a different frequency(Channel)

If you had a HDTV receiver now you would be amazed at the quanity and quality of the channels out there.

On your amp, if you have three  F connectors, one is in, one out and probably the third is to a 12Vdc power pak.

If not marked you will have to determine this.
