Hey all,
Got a leak in a front air bag on my MC5. Called Luke and got 4 new bags & associated nuts/bolts.
I haven't started removing bags yet, but wondering if you all had any tips or tricks on how to remove the old or get the new ones on? I sprayed some penetrating oil a couple days ago, so hopefully that will help.
Thanks!
I remove the tire for easier access.
I removed the passenger side front wheel and got the 2 air bags replaced on that side. It wasn't too bad.
I also need to replace that axle bump stop, and is stuck pretty bad :) on the MC5, there is no nut underneath. based on the new bump stop, it appears to be just a threaded stud with the rubber bumper on top. any tricks for removing those? I've got some penetrating oil on it, but i'm not sure if it's even getting to the stud.

The OEM you remove all the rubber and there is HEX shape to remove, some you remove the rubber and weld a nut to remove the stop,it can turn into a job good luck

Thanks! I removed the scraps of rubber that were left on mine and there is a nut-ish shaped bolt head on top, but it only has 2 flat sides. It feels like it's going to round over when I put a wrench on it, but I guess I'll give it a go and see what happens. If it rounds, then I go the welded nut route. Thanks again!
