10 Buses Worth Collecting in 2025 – Best Candidates for RV Conversion
Out on the old American highways, the best coaches were built to cross a continent... and many of them still can. In this video, we count down 10 classic buses that are truly worth collecting in 2025 and turning into serious RVs. From tough MCI workhorses to stainless Prevost shells, floating Eagles, and legendary GM "Buffalo" coaches. If you've been dreaming about a bus conversion, this guide will help you pick a solid platform before the good ones disappear.
That program is on my list soon. There are a bunch of really good bus programs on that particular channel.
He had me until I heard about the Eagle's "Torsilastic Air Ride Suspension" mentioned 12 minutes into the video. Can someone please help me understand that? Where do I add the air? ;)
He uses AI for narration and often gladly admits in the comment section his mistakes. In some ways it's ironic that had EAGLE survived, they likely would have switched to air suspension given that EAGLE 25.
No mention of the Silverside nor the 4104. Sad.

MCI 102A3 story
The story is fairly good as far as it goes, but with the mistakes noted and the insertion of pictures of expensive coaches for sale at certain dealers, it is suspiciously slanted toward the sales of coaches from those dealers. There were no interviews with the owners of coaches who have extensive experience with them, and they missed a coach with a strong fan base, the Flxible. The Silverside and the 4104 should have surely been included, they will be around for decades more, just like the Eagles. ;)
And the Scenic Cruiser is also missing Walter!
I saw a close friends model 15 Eagle in the video, one of the 2 Eagles Monaco converted, he purchased it new in 1989 and still owns the model 15
I really wanted a Prevost xl40 at one time (still do) but talking to Cliff has scared me a little: mainly talk of the complex air system and norgren valves.
Lol he only mentions Eagles for rust,Prevost up till in the mid 80's would rust with the best of Eagles,I had a Prevost leaving the yard the friggn tag axle fell off pulling out to leave,MCI's will rust too,GM's have places that rust just not as bad as the others ,I have never seen a C with series 60 there is not enough room for series 60 in a C,you could buy the smaller Cummins and Cat engine in the C with the rear mounted radiator but they hard to find. After many hours of cutting, welding and replacing tubing a DL3 MCI will rust
Seems to me that MCI C model had the 92 and 71 engines as standard but some had the S50 toward the end. No problem fitting that 4 banger. I would have thought the CUMMINS and CAT engines would have been too long for that compartment since the S60 won't fit.
The M11 and Cat 3100 series are not as long and as tall the series 60 you can install a series 50 in one, if the C has side mounted radiators it would be a 2 stroke 6v or 8v92 engine from MCI.The MCI C was transition bus for the D's it is a good bus for a conversion,I checked on buying a C with the Cummins not long ago if it had been a RV conversion instead of a day coach I would have bought it, very low milage with only 173 k miles
