We just got word from Cheryl Van Passed away at 11:55 am North Carolina time.
Rest in Peace my friend.

I've never met him, but his knowledge has helped me and others, sorry to hear of his passing.

The older one gets the less friends one has Van was a very close friend of mine for many years, he left here will soon be year to go to SC but we stayed in touch almost every day I am thankful he had the time to visit his 2 girls and see his grandkids he has never seen.Van had a stroke and he couldn' I that fight it off having COPD

Van was a nickname or a short of his last name his given name  was Cornelis lol I would call him that when he would get the New York attitude

They are going to live stream his memorial Sat,I am not into that so I won't be watching but the ones that wish to you can get the live streaming details on his daughter Mary face book page

I'm very sorry to hear this news but not at all surprised. We stopped in Mojave Valley on our way home from Mexico in March 2024.  We had a good visit with Van, Cheryl and Clifford but it was alarming how much Van had failed at that time.  I'm sure it was a comfort to him having made it back to South Carolina.  One by one they drop away until we look around the room and realize that we're now the old ones.

Sorry to hear that.  He was very helpful in helping install a new generator in my bus in 2021.  I talked to him about two years ago, and he was telling me about moving to NC.
