Just curious whether anyone has been to the new (within the last year) service center in Torrance CA.
I approached them re: replacing my radiator fan clutch and fan, if I provided the radiator fan and clutch. They were open to doing that. Maybe because those parts are hard to get anyway ? (1993 MCI DL3) but nonetheless, it was a positive response. Also work on some other miscellaneous work - air lines / bags, etc., no problems there.
They are backed up a good month or two.
Thanks!, Phil
To bad WW Williams is not a MCI service center now ,they were convenient and had some great technicians plus they were a Detroit dealer ,Williams in Phoenix has a motor home service center but for some crazy reason they won't work on bus conversion over 10 years old,but would work on my 2007 Cummins in the Country Coach. They have 2 stroke guys that will work on the older engines but not in bus it's crazy but call they may work on your DL since it is a series 60 ,you see a lot of buses there even with Cummins engines .My son with a 2005 CC won't let anyone but Williams work on his Cummins engine, generator or chassis work ,he just had all the air bags replaced at Williams
Thanks Cliff, I last tried to get WW Williams to look at our bus (1993 MCI DL345) about a year ago for some radiator work. The would not work on it due to age. They suggested I find shops who worked on older vehicles. They had a name to give me, but they also would not work on the bus. At the time they seemed to be having some internal problems so maybe that had something to do with it.
Best regards, Phil
