Can anyone I.D. this dryer from looking at the pictures? I am not there and trying to help a stranded busnut in Vegas over the phone. Obviously a Bendix but which one? 89' Liberty Prevo. Thnx!
Believe it's a bendix ad2. Same one on my 1984 mci 9
It is a AD-2 take the small keeper bolts out and pop the big snap ring out of the housing and purge valve come out, there are a couple of those here at the shop if Ron needs parts, there is a slot in the housing to pop the snap ring out with a screw driver
Better to go with a new AD9 and not mess with it.

The AD-2 is a good easy to service dryer the AD-9 dryer dries the air better they were made mostly because of the air controlled transmissions that didn't stand any type moister.
We prefer the spin on desiccant type. Much easier to service and change.

The AD-2 is about as easy you don't have all the bolts like on the AD-9 and you can even replace the desiccant in the filter yourself and it is cheap on Amazon ,the AD-2 is not a bad air dryer,I keep a few around because they were used for years, the lady is up and running Van took her a rebuilt AD-2 (250 mile round trip) I gave her for her Prevost broke down in Las Vegas
It certainly has been a while since any attention..>>>Dan

Hey let's do an article on her, "Bravo" for her being willing to jump into our heavy metal crowd as the owner/operator!!!
I would be happy to shake her hand or give her a hug in commiseration if it was actually needed...
