Title: MAN bus parts in USA?
Post by: RichardEntrekin on October 29, 2023, 06:59:48 AM
Morning,

My internet searching has not helped me find a distributor or source for MAN bus parts in the US. Do you have any sources or leads.

Full story, the A arm pivot bushings on DANA IFS84 suspension on my rig are kaput. The suspension was made in England and Spain. I have the DANA number but no luck. I found the MAN part with the exact dimensions, but no luck on sourcing MAN parts.

Thanks.

That going to be a tough find in the US most parts for those and Neoplan come from Mexico or the UK both are owned by Volkswagen.MAN engine parts are not that hard to find here they have several dealers across the US

Wow, I spent two days looking for this part.

My buddy uses a picture I took with my phone and texted to him, plugs it into Google picture search, and comes back in one minute with the exact part. I provided NO dimensions to him just the photo, and the picture match somehow noodled out the dimensions. I am blown away. Thought I would tell you about it cause I know all of your look for parts all the time.

8 of them on the way. Turns out they were used in Volvo trucks also.

I am in awe.

Cliff, thanks for your insight as always. It made me feel a bit better about my inability to find a US source.

That Google App is called Lens. I always fantasized in earlier times about searching with a photo or image instead of text & surely it is here now. We use it all the time and is fascinating in your case but will also sometimes really lead you to wierd things & place. Glad it worked out for you.
