Hi fellow Allison 740 transmission owners, after ordering the internal oil pan filter, Clifford determined that I didn't need to replace the filter. There are two different lengths, on for 6" or for 7". Weller in Las Vegas now has a 6" available for purchase. It is $196 and in stock. It had to come from Detroit. It was the only place I could find it...
