Maybe someone out there can help me. I attended the Bus'N USA event (www.busnusa.com) out in Oregon last summer where I met a very knowledgeable gentleman with an MCI-7 with a 50-series Detroit. He told me of a synthetic lubricant for wheel hubs; he referred to it as "liquid grease" -- very expensive, he said, but very good. I can't remember the name of the product he mentioned (my memory isn't as good as it used to be, nor is my micrometer eye) but I did a Google search for "liquid grease" and the hits I got did not appear to be the product he told me about.
I'm wondering if anyone on the Board has any info about such a product.

Lucas makes a product called HUB Oil specifically for hubs. It stops leaking seals, and is heavier duty than any regular gear oil. Anything Lucas makes is good.
They may also make it in a synthetic formula, I'm not sure.
Hope this helps.
Kirby,Shell has the ossagol v that is a liquid grease made for the railroads check it out also look at the alvania and cyprina types i believe one of the 3 are what you are looking for tell Linda she going to miss all the rust this year
It's synthetic Hub oil. You can find it at any Truck Stop or Trurk dealer. It has the consistency of very thick oil. I think all new trucks have it in the front hubs and the trailer hubs. I didn't run it in my hubs because it runs hotter. (which doesn't hurt anything) Hope this helps. BUR
I should have said synthetic Hub Grease
Thanks BUR

NO ! Paul it might(?) slow it down or even temporarily make it appear to quit leaking. But really the only cure is to replace it! FWIW BK ;D
