Yep, six is a good round number to use for budgeting these days. Not long ago I was spouting about a buck a mile at $5. I guess I'll still say the same thing, wishful thiking the bus now gets 6mpg.

Here in Hayward, CA diesel pricing is from $5.15 to $5.99 in less then a few miles from each other. Will put enough fuel in the rig here and fill up when we get to AZ

What is ironic, here in Nampa, Idaho where no oil is produced, Diesel at WalMart is $4.46. Cheaper than Commefornia. Good Luck, TomC

Tom you have 3 large fuel distributors in Boise fuel is pumped in from pipe lines,Marathon bought the Chevron center,on Phillippi and Cole rd,Sinclair is located on Curtis and United on Phillippi the oldest and largest was owned by the Franklin family since 1939, I knew Robert Franklin, I heard Robert sold it to some outfit from Washington but those 3 are where the petroleum products come from in that valley ,I miss that valley, now it is getting over crowded though houses, box stores and shopping centers stand where fruit ochards were when we lived there.Idaho does have oil and gas wells I seen a few wells in Payette

I average about 7.5 MPG with my Series 60 in my 1967 Eagle.  I estimate it costs about $2/mile when I consider fuel, and other maintenance costs to run the bus.  I do not travel as many miles each year as I used to with the price of fuel being so high, and never have been able to afford to stay in RV parks.  I also try to plan my routes so I travel more downhill than I do uphill stretching out my fuel mileage as much as possible.

I read where the Government Snap program added 28% to price of food, then you add transportation ,farmers paying double for equipment, fuel, seeds , fertilizer, labor cost food is getting up there even for pets.I need a Snap card with one I could by the $22.00 a lb steaks, like the guy with the baggy shorts and his @$# showing at the meat counter does, lol me I only pay almost $5.00 a pound for chicken breasts it's crazy

You have to have a double fenced enclosure, including run way area with roof fence. Outer fence and top spaced a foot a way. And, a mean @$# junk yard dog that lives by his pet chickens. OR, you can go to store and buy chicken and eggs with your Wick card.

Only 200 billion of 1.5 trillion has been released so far, the projects you seeing have been on the drawing board for years, Interstates highways have a 10 year plan in place at all times that what our federal gasoline tax is supposed to cover.AZ got screwed when Obama was in office ,he was to busy suing sheriff Joe to worry about highway funds .Giving the Indians in AZ 100 million for internet service when some don't have water or inside plumbing what a waste

They way the system works the US number highways and interstate systems belong to the US Government  and they are supposed to provide the funds to each state to keep the highways in good shape. When the states don't get the money from DC they let the interstates and US highways go to hell. The 1.5 trillion bill was the Government bailing their own @$# out of years of neglect. Az keeps their state highway is good shape but they let I 40 and I-17 go to hell because of no funds from DC

And thats because they only spend our tax dollars on things they invest in (the Politicians)Like war equipment and setting up corporations in other countries etc so they can get in when they are at the bottom. And all their little programs. Both sides need to be thrown out and all new people voted in.
Government is not suppose to own anything. It is our money and we own them. Off soap box. lol

What's this snap card? Something like those clickers we used to have that you could carry around in your pocket and make noise with? Who gets snap cards anyway? Is it something I can have or is it just for illegal aliens or something?

Snap helps pay for food if you are low income and not on welfare, I think is how it works, I see senior citizens using the card sometimes at Walmart ,one older couple ahead of me spent almost 400 on food and only had to pay less than 20 bucks out of pocket using the card . Have no idea what income bracket qualifies for a Snap card  I never took the time to find out.

I just found out here in AZ I have been paying property taxes for 5 years AZ exempts me from paying since we are seniors and Sonja health ,I am going for that one all it takes is doctors signature on a 1 page form

Jere is the sanp website and it tells how your income below a certain amount will determine what you will be able to use. Its all here. No I don't use it but it is a good program for low income and seniors if they are on fixed incomes.

ok - back to bus topic - fuel. What's the bet diesel goes down after the holiday? I've been delaying filling up, being lazy, but now, maybe wait if it'll drop. Crude went up so not a sure bet it'll stay down.
I drove by Sam's yesterday the discovered you need a membership to get fuel. I'd likely save enough with one fill to pay for a membership. what a PIA! lol

Oil closed at 86.00 for Sept delivery so don't expect much relief in fuel or food not going to happen in November ,inflation is on the rise.  LOL of all things Biden is going after Texas oil feilds over a friggin lizard they want to protect it never ends in politics, wonder how they will tell the birds like crows and owls those lizards are protected it is just stupid. Can you see it on the liberal news all the new jobs created by rounding up lizards on the Texas plains

Actually that lizard thing was started by Obama back in December of 2020 and will be decided by Wildlife fish and game in December of 2023. 150 people may lose their jobs but will be retrained like they did in New Mexico last year on the same thing according to NPR and Fox..

It is stupid who ever started it the sand lizard is so small they are to see, till they get about a year old,I have caught those for years and they bite if you caught one by the tail they shed their tail and take off. In Monahan's Texas at the dunes those  are ants .The state of Texas owns the dunes where the oil wells are not the federal government. I don't how they can enforce it most all the oilfields are on private property there, a game warren can enter the property if he or she can prove poaching or a crime is being committed, Texas  property owners are not going that route no matter what Biden passes.

What y'all gripin' bout'? Come live in CA where that example is like pre-school antics. One of many reasons building here is outrageous is one of the checkboxes is getting an environmental report by a licensed and certified pro that your project will not harm any indiginous pests, namimal, plants, weeds, whatever. Next will be banning if there are any birds that fly overhead.
Ont the flip side, new regulations broadly allow lot splitting and secondary dwellings (ADU). With the cost of real estate never going to become afforable for the masses, these new reguations provide pathways to increase density and help property owners offset costs; these in addition to Prop 13 that provides relief over time.
OH - to keep post OT, fuel costs in CA are higher due to the increased regional and local regulations that force blended fuels making it more costly due to smaller production and distribution and higher inventory and supply costs.

Don unlike you I have a lot to brag about but I just don't need too. Whatever floats your boat LOL

Clifford, At the park they have one commercial washer and one dryer but there are only 21 spots here and only three are fulltimers and the rest of the time it is weekenders or maybe someone that stays a week. They have a few young people that work at CAT, John Deer or New Holland for training or  temporary and they are here maybe the winter or 6 weeks in the summer then gone. So not many using them.  You put in 6 quarters a load and 6 for the dryer also. Done. :^

The owner here has 300 plus storage units around the backside of the park and that is where he makes his money.
