Title: MCI-9 A/C Unit Removal
Post by: Kwajdiver on March 24, 2007, 03:21:34 PM
Since I do not plan to repair or ever use the bus a/c system, I would like to remove it.
Anything I should know before removing the condensor and receiver tank.  I know there is pressure on it.

Thanks for the input,

Bill

If the AC system is charged, you might want to check with local automotive AC shops, They might pay you for the Freon or at least remove it for you.  Jack

Hi Bill,

After you remove thr freon, seal each componet with tape so air and moisture are kept out. [condencer, tx valve, compressoe, ect.]

This way you can offer the componets to other busnuts. We are always looking for spares...

Good Luck
