I keep reading about antifreeze filters for the Series 60 (2002 MCI) but have yet to see one. Where is this located and what does it look like? Thanks!!!
We have a coolant bypass filter mounted next to the water pump on our IL672. It's a standard spin on filter. You could purchase plain or chemically treated spin on cartridges for maintaining proper coolant chemistry.
It about the size of regular car oil filter if you have one, they are worthless on 60 series if you are using the right anti freeze, they were time released (SCA) chemicals for older type antifreeze and will screw the new types of coolant up in hurry if you use a SCA filter, as Dan posted you can buy a non SCA filter but they don't any good
Thanks you guys! Sounds great. I'll start a new thread on my next question about the antifreeze itself.
