anyone know the torque on the 1/2 in bolts on the flexplate to the torque converter on a 8v92 to a ht740 transmission the only place in my Eagle book says 40# and i don't think that is right thanks
95 to 115 ft lbs IIRC, I don't have a manual at the present, so someone else please verify-
This has been discussed before on one of the BBs and I think the answer was that this is the pre-torque before turning the fastener xx degrees to achieve final torque.
In the Allsion manual that I had, it just had the torque setting for the bolts. It wasnt a two step process.
My manual says 96-115 ft.lbs.
This is for an HT 748, but should be the same.
