You can feel it in the door and the whole door has to painted and with the fading and blending of the different colors it's not something I would attempt lol a solid color is not near as bad as trying to blend colors ,the door has 4 different colors of gray ,I doubt he can do it 3 days with the base coat clear coat.

2 to 3 days, not 16 to 24 hours. Maybe 6 hours total.

All I know John is the shop quoted me 11 hours labor @ $95.00 and $392.00 taxes, parts and supplies, for a total of $1,437.00.I have $1000.00 deductible. It pisses me off knowing that State Farm is only going to pay him $65.00 a hour if I file a insurance claim. So I am looking for another option

Don't get upset at just State Farm, all insurance companies do it, car manufacturers do it. Someone on FB showed Toyota allowed 2.5 hours to replace evaporator. If true, impossible to do. Dash and steering column need removed, case split, etc.
Back when Olds diesels came out, GM only allowed 8 or 10 or less  hours to do head gaskets. All were warranty jobs for first 3 or so years. Lot of clean up time involved to do it right to avoid repeat failures. Had to run a tap in all bolt holes and clean. Carefully completely clean gasket surfaces. Those gaskets seemed to bond to surface. Mainly used razor blade scraper. Wire wheel on intake sides and valve cover gasket surfaces. Starting in 80, GM installed EGR on them, so the  carbon soot-oil coating needed to be all removed from interior of intake and ports on head. Parts mgr. was always grumbling about how much they lost in reimbursement. Fortunately I was paid by the hour. Only had one gske comeback in a few months. Compression ring on gasket wore a groove into head surface.  Ended up replacing heads to fix. Heads weren't  to be resurfaced.
