Do you tow a Toad i.e. Toad Vehicle? I do because I am a Fulltimer and need a vehicle to get around town when I am parked. I tow a 2005 Lexus LX 470. It is not designed to be towed but I installed a Superior Driveline mechanical disconnect on my Lexus so I can disconnect the driveline when under tow.
What is the length of your bus and do you tow a vehicle and if so what? I assume that people with shorter buses, may not tow a vehicle as they can park in more places. Some people may carry bicycles, E-bikes, or motorcycles instead. If so, what do you carry and how?
Hi Gary ,
We tow a 2001 Jeep Wrangler on our 45' MCI DL3 bus.
It's very easy to tow w/ the Wrangler. But it is a little inconvenient as we frequently have guests with us and it's difficult for the wives to crawl out of the back seat. :D
Kind Regards, Phil

I know this guy that tows a car that doesn't run, a Harley that doesn't run his E bike is the only thing that runs.he is fully prepared .We have always towed Jeeps, the dolly or trailer was to much a hassle, the Envoy is easy to tow though but like your 470 it is a heavy sucker
We tow a 89 Jeep Cherokee behind our MC8.
We tow a 09 Jeep GC Limited & an 08 GMC Envoy SLT both 4x4 behind our 4104. In the past 44 years with our 4104 we have towed 04 & 05 GMC Sierra PU, 71 F250, 91 Explorer 4x4, 71 VW Beetle, 77 Jeep CJ5, trailers up to 10,000 pounds, & a 21' boat on trailer. Turtle that keeps going. We have but very seldom run bareback.
In the past before rental cars got so expensive, we towed nothing sometimes, I could rent a car then for a week what it cost now for 1 day, when we parked, they would deliver and pick up the rental car we always done that when we were in a hurry to go some place
First was an air cooled VW,( 1972 ), then a 2002 Jeep Liberty,,(first year built ) then, and present, a 2012 Jeep Liberty..( last year built ) All have been very reliable towds..>>>Dan
I pulled a Samurai, started out with a towbar but later started loading it on the flat bed trailer. That took care of backing, worries about leaving it in gear and miles on the toad but meant having to put the trailer somewhere. Happily having a hitch on the Sammy made that easier.
This time around I am reserving a bay with the possibility of creating a parasite toad to be hauled internally. It's possible but it won't be especially easy and won't begin to happen until the bus build is near completion.

We tow a GMC K3500 4 door dually with 8ft bed 6 down, hopefull a new Harley will occupy the truck bed some day on our travels ;)
I flat tow a 2003 five-speed manual VW Jetta TDI Sportwagon. At 3100 lbs, don't even know it's back there. Since it's a wagon, it serves double duty as a quasi-pickup, too. Plus, being a diesel, it gives me 40+ mpg running around town.
FWIW & HTH. . . ;)

Well I bought an enclosed car hauler to stuff my Tesla in and have to say that having it around while parked is a hell of lot more civilized!!!! Screw the bloody E-Bike!!!
MCI 5 C towing a 2001 Jeep Cherokee 60 year anniversary model. :^
QuoteScrew the bloody E-Bike!!!
snob! I am finishing trials of the new motor and battery pack on my bike.Getting close to 50 mile range which is about the most my @$# can take in one sitting. For that matter, it wears me out without doing any pedalling. lol
Fiat or jeep pickup...
Must be Australia, proof once again the earth is not flat :^

Wait! Huh? You have to pedal those?😄
Sonja has a fold up Dahon bike she bought 20 years ago that she probably has ridden for 5 miles
We are not full timers our Bus is 40 ft. we really like having the Toad with us for grocery shopping, visiting local sites of interest and breweries, it was really, really nice having it this last trip when the front wheel bearing went bad on the bus and we were stuck in a parking lot for 2 days.
We have a 2004 PT Cruiser with a manual transmission, we tow it 4 down in Neutral with a Roadmaster Falcon tow bar, once setup allows the car to be connected or disconnected in under 2 minutes, very convenient.
The PT Cruiser is very light and the Bus does not even know it's there, no difference in acceleration, stopping or fuel mileage, if it weren't for the rearview camera you wouldn't even be able to see it.
We also tow the Goldwing Motorcycle on a trailer on occasion.
I have always carried a Mountain Bike in the bay and have very recently upgraded it to an eBike with the addition of a Bafang Mid Drive kit, I like it a lot so far but have not ridden it enough to do any type of review on it, convenient for going to the camp store or scooting around to other campsites.
