I just finished getting the curb side of my bus painted on a beach in Puerto Penasco Mexico by a guy named Chuy. They do a good job and you can enjoy Margaritas on the beach while you are here. I needed a few things touched up on my bus and they quoted me $850 for the work including the paint. It took them 3 days to complete the job.
They quoted me $6500 to paint my entire 40' Eagle bus which is probably significantly less than I could get it done in the U.S.
Each year, I try to get one side either touched up or painted and they do a pretty good job. It is not the same quality as Mike Wilson can do, but for the price, it comes out pretty good. But the price of painting one side of my bus each year is within my budget.
This year, however, one of the colors did not match correctly after he was finished, so he told me to bring it back and he will repaint it. I will have him re-paint it the next time I am in the area and I will probably have another side painted at the same time.
Who else has had painting done in Mexico and were you pleased with the quality of the work and did it last?
Mine was done on the beach in Mexico back in '01 and has held up well for 20 years. It needs a good polishing and I need to get the black re-done. It's fading and chipped especially in front and under the windows. I hope next time I'm down there to get it looked after. Pretty simple paint scheme but I'm happy with it and likely won't change it.
Heard all things are cheap in Mehico. Just don't forget to bring back your noggin.
