Hello all,
I am wondering where a guy could pick up some new lock cylinders. I need a new on for 2 bay doors since they are corroded beyond repair.
They use a Ford key and I have already had a few rekeyed, but maybe I can pick them up online cheaper than at a locksmith.
Thanks
Seb
Rv store. They use them on camper compartments. And on Amazon. Or locksmith's store
I just dug around and found these on ebay.

I just sent the seller a message and asked if I can get 4 of them all keyed the same. If so this will be cheaper than a locksmith.

If yours attach with those clips, great. If yours are threaded, then different choice. I would prefer threaded in that application. Too easy to get disconnected.

I looked at the pictures closely with one of mine in my hand and they look right.
Thanks

If you want them keyed to match your existing locks, it is not hard to remove the inner barrel from the lock and change out the tumblers to match your existing keys. You may have to cannibalize some old locks for the tumblers and springs and an assortment should also be available online I'm sure. Last resort the local locksmith has them and may sell or give you some.
I think those use the wafer style tumblers. Really very easy to work with as there is only one bit for each position rather than the tumbler pair used in house door locks. There will be a screw, clip, or spring loaded retainer on the inside end of the barrel and the key has to be inserted to remove it from the body.

Hmmm, never thought of that. I just assumed I would have to find a locksmith to do it. I bet there ate YouTube videos.
Thanks for that

I think all the Ford pickup locks have the clips ,I never saw any with lock nuts,RV type locks are a cheap lock save your money
If the locks are the same as the door lock.
When I first got the 96A3 the door lock was frozen.
I removed it and went to the local O'Rielly's, We matched it up to the same that fits a 1976 ford F150.
I think it was $10 for a set of two, with two keys, Probably double or tipple that now.
Had to change the swing arm piece and it has worked perfectly for over 5 years and I have a spare if it breaks.
