Got to drive the bus this morning!
It had been a while and it needed to be run. My neighbor has a son who hauls fuel to gas stations. He has always been right according to my neighbor, and he says diesel fuel is about to go up. Again.
So...armed with that rumor and the fact I don't want condensation forming in my half empty tank, I headed out.
There is light traffic around here on Sundays, little traffic at the pump, and no cement trucks hugging the centerline or dump trucks throwing gravel. I headed to the lowest price station at Walmart. I needed around 100 gallons so I gave the young lady all of my money, two children, and my favorite dog. She likes my dog so she agreed to let the pump just run until I was full.
I needed a little over 100 gallons so it was painful, but great to knock the spiderwebs off the bus for a little while. I paid her, got the dog back, and headed home.

Don't know about GA, but here in Eastern WA/ID, Walmart's diesel is supplied by Flying J, and it's a B20 biodiesel blend.
FWIW & HTH. . . ;)

Here in central Pa., $5.99 a gallon.
Diesel has been averaging $2 more per gallon than regular unleaded. That is absurd!
No Flying J truck comes here. It is a Murphy gas station. Did not see a bio sign. Threw in extra Howe's. Does bio eat an old DD?
Howe's will keep it happy.

Stations don't have to post the Bio % in fuel now (the renewable fuel act), it can be up to 20% lol and most are, it is easy to find diesel still under $5.00 a gal in AZ

We're off today to get the bus serviced and head south to somewhere in AZ. But first I need 75 gallons of diesel to top off the tanks. That's going to hurt. That gives me 185 gallons, enough fuel to get from Corvallis, OR to Tucson, AZ. I checked the mileage last year. 8.7 in the mountains and 9.3 in the flatlands at 2200 rpm's at 60 mph, (except in the mountains of course).
I have about 25K miles on WVO and about 50K miles on BioDiesel and Bio Blend. When I installed the WVO system I replaced all the hoses with Viton chemical hoses except for the hose from the main tank and one other short on. The short one blew out a few years ago in AZ. The original hoses were the cloth wraped braided. I don't know if the hose blew because it was old or because it was affected by the Bio/Wvo. They did look a little ragged. The 6-71 doesn't seem to care. She's been running the same for the 20 years I have owned her. The only problem I see is with the rubber in the system. In the real world, I don't think you could put enough miles on a DD for the 20% Bio to make a difference. I've never heard about anyone having problems with the Bio Blend.

I ran WVO in my Ford Powerstroke for a while, basically stopped when I couldn't find a reliable source.
What's the situation with WVO these days?
I stopped running it a couple of years ago for the same reason. The Biodiesel companies get it all now. The P.I.T.A. factor is getting too high. I'm still looking for another good reliable source.

Ok just a quick update on fuel cost per gallon for my trip from LA to Brownsville TX where I am going to be hanging out for the next couple of months hopefully to see a big @$# rocket launch of SpaceX's new Heavy/Starship...
LA $6.40 (Didn't buy, was about the average that I saw as I got my @$# out of the state!!!)
AZ just across the border on I-10 $4.99
NM just before entering TX on I-10 $4.59
TX approaching the gulf coast and Brownsville $4.44
I did buzz past a place shortly after entering TX that was $4.30 a gallon but have to say that was an outlier.
Diesel fuel here in Mohave Valley and Bullhead you can buy it for $4.39
