Title: Converted Bus Insurance in Florida
Post by: ltcinfantry on October 01, 2022, 08:18:37 AM
So another newbi question since I can't find a good answer in a forum search or internet. Has anyone had experience obtaining insurance for your conversion in Florida? I had Progessive Insurance through USAA for my Airstream but have seen anything that they currently insure bus to tv conversions.

Awesome! Thanks. Guess I need to speak to a real person at USAA next week and find out more. John

John -

What I've been suggesting recently is to find a large independent insurance agency that handles multiple companies. Have one of their agents earn their commission by doing the legwork for you.

Another option, especially if you're over 50, is to use the AARP affiliate link with The Hartford, if you're an AARP member.

You may have to submit photos of your rig, and be sure to explain exactly what the usage is right now and what type of coverage you're looking for. The more info you provide, the better your agent can do with underwriting to provide coverage for what you need.  Happy Shopping!

FWIW & HTH . . .  ;)

98 % of the time the ones that carry your homeowners and other vehicles will write the insurance State Farm gave me the best deal by far than others I shopped. Shopping pays off mine went from $8000 (Miller) with Progressive to a little over $2000.00 a year with State Farm,IMO you need a high liability policy owning a bus the normal car policy won't cut it in case of a accident it is a lot better to be over insured than under insured for the greedy @$# lawyers
