Title: Believe This
Post by: luvrbus on July 28, 2022, 06:32:40 PM
In Arizona I read where 596 people 100 years old or older renewed their driver's license for 5 years ($10.00) on-line or by mail without going to the MVD for any type eye testing, damn there is hope for me  :^

Well there most certainly be a requirement for the eye test for any age for renewal.
I have no problem with people that age driving provided they meet those requirements.

I am getting up in age and never wore glasses to read or drive ,I am going to the MVD to have mine renewed ,it sort of pisses you off you pay 10 bucks for drivers licensee when you are 18 and they are good till you turn 65 and you can pay for a updated photo but after 65 you renew every 5 years, you can have or have not the federal BS on you licenses

In Nevada, Most driver licenses and identification cards issued in 2018 and later are valid for 8 years. 4-year licenses/IDs issued during the years 2014-2017 will be converted to 8-year cards at the next renewal if the holder is under 65.

Licenses issued to those age 65 or older and Driver Authorization Cards are valid for 4 years. $17.25

Resident seniors of the state of Florida get 1/2 off of admission & camping to all Florida state parks and don't need to purchase or possess Florida hunting or fishing licenses. Just another perk to being closer to pushing daisies...

Same here on the Federal Senior Pass. Paid $10. It's a real $$ saver on Federal Parks. Ironically Federal Parks are usually a lot cheaper than State parks in our experience.

My CA driver's license was expiring last year.  The requirement to renew was to go he the DMV to take a written test and an eye test.  Due to Wuhan they blew that off, and both my wife and I got a five year renewal online.  That saved a lot of hassle.  The vision test is what it is and we probably would have been okay there, but I hate the idea of having to study for a written test; most of what's on it is not relevant to safe driving.
